Drake Returns with ‘More Life’, Rick Ross drops ‘Rather You Than Me’ and Kendrick Lamar tells everyone to get ready.Â
Wudup people? How is it I can barely go two podcast without Drake inserting himself in my life? With his new album ‘More Life’ it has split people into two camps. The ones who are disappointed in Drake because he barely raps on songs and doesn’t always bring it while the other side is more appreciative of the music that made in a genreless sense. Now the latter has a singe of highfalutin “evolution of an artist” to it but they do have a point.
I had Keith Nelson Jr. from Digital Trends on to recap all of the new music. Of course the biggest story being Drake wave. From the huge numbers, the reactions, or what’s the bigger picture, October’s Very Own has some things that are deeper than rap. Speaking of that Rick Ross also dropped ‘Rather You Than Me’ in which Keith and I both agree that this is some of Rozay’s best work. We disagree on Trap Trap Trap but if you read my review on the album, how I feel about Rick Ross as an East Coast artist isn’t a secret.Â
If you haven’t heard by now Kendrick Lamar decided to inject himself in the conversation by dropping “The Heart Part IV” and announced a new album is on the way. Real Hip-Hop fans are ecstatic as so am I but I came to conclusion recently. I can’t always find a good time to play his music. Don’t get me wrong I love what Kendrick does and what he stands for. It doesn’t always contort itself to be ready for any environment.
We end the podcast by calling up Eazy’s Life  whose on tour promoting his mixtape The Come Up about the Drake get his takes but we had to talk about the hometown Atlanta Hawks.  The #TrueToAtlanta All-Stars have fallen off especially after the injury to Paul Millsap. We explore what needs to change and a couple what if scenarios that could have made them viable as a contender for years to come.
