This week on the podcast we talk a lot of Atlanta Falcons because Sunday there is one last game in the Georgia Dome. It’s probably the most meaningful game at the soon to be demolished building. There was an NFC Championship game in 2014 where the Atlanta Falcons gave up a 14 point lead to the then unstoppable, pre-“Freedom Fro” Colin Capernick. Only this time it’t the actually unstoppable Aaron Rodgers that’s in town with 52 cheesy challengers. So could you see why some of the die hard fans don’t believe.
The sentiment is a lot of fan speak but the measured response is also pointing toward the home team Atlanta Falcons. Even Las Vegas feels that the Falcons should win by at least 5 points. But there is a certain section of the Atlanta Falcons fan base that refuse to fall for their “trap” of a let down in the big spot. In fact our own Falcon’s fan Eazy’s Life doesn’t believe this is their turn so I had to find out why.
(29.00) I also had a lot of questions on how we got here in the first place so I called up friend of the podcast Aaron Freeman of FalcFans and the Locked On Falcons Podcast. I wanted to know how did the Falcons no one would trusted became a favorite in the NFC Championship Game. Then I was curious of what the combination of Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman, the acquisition of Alex Mack, and Kyle Shanonhan meant for the offense this year. I wrap up by peering into how the Falcons Pass defense has held up without pro bowl corner Desmond Trufant
