On this episode of #DaRundown we have Sekou Smith from NBA.com Hangtime Blog and Podcast. I reached out to him because he is former Atlanta Hawks beat writer for the AJC and still lives in the Atlanta area. Being that close to the situation I felt he would have some real perspective on the Hawks success since he was there during the last regime.

Sekou is one of the people I aspire to be like in the sports realm. He was very gracious with his time so I split the podcast into 2 parts.

In part 1, we get to know Sekou Smith a little bit more. He ,like myself, is an Atlanta transplant from Michigan. I find out his favorite Outkast song, how he got his career to this point, and what it was like to cover sports when that side of things were less diverse. This side has more life perspective.
